The WYRLORA Chronicles...

Emotionally rich Christian fiction for women who love small towns with long memories,

layered characters, quiet courage, and faith tested in the places where life actually hurts.

Begin in Brynvara — a regional Australian story world of weathered halls, old family houses,

river roads, church records, practical kindness, and truths that refuse to stay buried.

Brynvara is the first featured series of the WYRLORA Chronicles, and Book One —

"What the Waters Left Behind" — is now available.

More Than a Book Series

The WYRLORA Chronicles is a growing fiction world built for readers who want stories with emotional weight, spiritual honesty, mature women, meaningful relationships, and places that feel alive.

These are not disposable small-town stories. They are novels of memory, family, faith, silence, courage, grief, love, and earned restoration — stories where ordinary rooms, weathered roads, church gardens, old letters, coffee mugs, verandahs, and long-held secrets carry as much meaning as any dramatic turning point.

Each series within the Chronicles opens another part of the wider WYRLORA world. You do not need to know everything at once. You only need a place to begin.

The first place is Brynvara.

Some stories are read and forgotten. Others become places you return to.

Begin with Brynvara

Brynvara is the first story world within The WYRLORA Chronicles — a fictional regional town inspired by the hills, rivers, weather, church life, and layered community texture of South-East Queensland.

It is beautiful, but not simple. Warm, but not innocent.

Brynvara is a town where people help, remember, watch, protect, avoid, pray, bake, repair,

and sometimes keep silent about the things that most need naming.

This is where Claire Rowan returns at forty-five, not to be rescued by nostalgia, but to face the difficult truth hidden inside family memory, church records, and the town that still knows her name.

Start with Book One:

"What The Waters Left Behind"

Claire Rowan has spent most of her adult life in Adelaide restoring damaged records and preserving other people’s histories. Work has been her safest language. Distance has been her protection.

When stormwater damages the Brynvara Memorial Hall archive, Claire returns for what should be a temporary conservation contract. Rowan Cottage gives her somewhere to stay without returning to the rooms of Rowan House, where her widowed mother Marion lives alone among polish, silence, and old family versions of the truth.

But among the water-marked church files, welfare notes, committee minutes, and boxed records, Claire begins to find evidence that what was buried in Brynvara was never only paper.

As the archive recovery becomes a reckoning, Claire must face the silence that shaped her life, the church failures hidden under respectable language, and the frightening grace of being believed.

In the warmth of Beth’s Café, the steady wisdom of June Sayer, the moral seriousness of Pastor Ben Harrow, and the quiet practical care of Daniel Vale, Claire begins to discover that returning is not the same as being trapped — and that truth, once carried into the light, asks something of the future.

Book One is just the beginning of the Brynvara journey, with more stories still to come.
